A notepad is a stack of printed sheets made up so each one can be removed — sheets glued along one edge so they tear off cleanly, in the classic make-up over a rigid backer. Each sheet is printed full colour, so the pad carries your artwork rather than your logo in one corner. Everything we can tell you about this product.

Rows read two ways. Figures stated plainly are standard for how we produce this product. Items marked “Confirmed with your quote” depend on your artwork, quantity or destination — they're fixed in the written spec sheet, not guessed here.

Format	Printed sheets, made up into pads. How the pad is assembled is confirmed with your quote.
Size	4 × 6 in is one reference point. Other sizes — 3×5, 5×7, 8.5×11, A5, DL — are quoted on request; tell us what you need.
Sheets per pad	25 or 50 sheets per pad are the common starting points; other counts are quoted on request.
Print	Full colour (CMYK) on every sheet. One design throughout, or a different design on each pad in the same run.
Paper	80 gsm uncoated writing paper is one reference point. Other paper weights are quoted on request.
Backing	Options range from a standard or heavy chipboard backer to no backer at all. Tell us the build you need and we'll confirm it with the quote.
Binding	Top, side or bottom glued. Which binding edge and method suits your build is confirmed with your quote.
Bleed	Full-bleed edge-to-edge printing available. Exact bleed confirmed with your quote.
Packaging	From simple shrink-wrap to retail-ready — quoted with your order.
MOQ	No fixed MOQ — we quote the quantity you need.
Confirmation	Physical sample, digital proof, run photos or first article — agreed with your quote.
Lead time	Confirmed with your quote
Artwork files	AI, PSD, PDF, PNG or SVG. Vector preferred, 300 dpi at final size. Around 3 mm of bleed, with text kept clear of the cut line — your written spec sheet confirms the exact figures for your order.

Notepads, sticky notes or notebooks?

Three different products, and the search terms are not interchangeable. A notepad is a stack of printed sheets glued along one edge, so you tear one off and throw it away. A sticky note has a repositionable adhesive strip: it sticks to a screen, a wall or a page, and moves. A notebook is bound — sewn, stapled or wire-bound — and is kept as a whole object. If you need sheets you can remove one by one, you want a notepad. If you need them to stick, you want sticky notes. If you need a book that stays together, ask us about notebooks as a separate enquiry.

The choices that change the price.

25 or 50 sheets

Sheet count sets how long a pad lasts and moves the unit cost. A 25-sheet pad is the usual choice when the pad is one item in a set rather than the product itself.

One design, or a different one per pad

Digital print means a run can carry several designs without a plate change. That is what makes a mixed set — one design per pad — sensible at small quantities.

Which backer

A rigid chipboard backer is what lets you write on a pad in your hand rather than on a desk, and heavier board suits larger pads that get carried around. A smaller one inside a gift set can go without. Choose the backer for how the pad gets used.

Which edge gets glued

Notepads are glued along the top, side or bottom. It changes how the pad sits and which way the artwork reads, so decide it before the file is drawn rather than after.

A NOTE ON SPECIFYING THIS PRODUCT

The thing that surprises people about notepads is that the pad count and the sheet count are two different numbers, and quoting gets confused when only one is mentioned. Ten pads of fifty sheets is five hundred sheets — say both.
